My poor dad, asked me when Laura's birthday was, and somehow forgot to get a card off to her, even having asked me just a week or two before her birthday when it was. So today about 2 weeks late a birthday card comes, and with it comes a very nice gift card to Kohls one of Laura's favorite spots.

Then to make it look intentional, his card said something about the card not being late, it was just taking her birthday into extra innings. :) Gotta love it, it's a typical witty thing for my dad to do. Now everyone knows where I got that part of my personality from.

Laura and I are movie buffs, as everyone who knows us knows. People say we could operate a DVD Rental store with our collection of movies. We watched a movie from our library for the first time tonight called, The Life of David Gale. Wow was it an amazing movie. It has us wondering till the very end, unwaivering in our attention, anxiously awaiting it's thrilling climax. What climax is that you ask? Well I wouldn't want to spoil it.

I have this bad habbit of muttering phrases like "I'm an idiot" when I'm programming and do something that I feel is stupid, or just make a dumb typo. I tend to do this a lot....Tonight I uttered my catch phrase, "I'm an idiot!"

Then Laura says back all seriously, "You know what really bothers me? —that you can say that you're an idiot when you're talking to the computer, but can't do it when you are talking to me."

Yup, she loves me...

Well happy birthday Hon! I guess I have to be nice to you all day today, and even in this post of all places. Hmmm there's so many things I could say. Where to begin...

Well I'm thankful for every day we've had together, and hopefully the many many more to come. May this day be a very special one for you! You are the best thing that has happened to me and I'll love you forever. This is the first birthday in a few years that you have gotten to spend with your family, and I'm happy we are here for that, as well as thankful we moved here. It was the best decision we've ever made and we're here because of you. Anyways happy 24th birthday!
