Well, I'm not sure I can make our safe arrival into Iowa be quite the adventure that a Laura telling would portray. I just don't have that wonderful skill at writing that she always displays on here, so you will just have to deal with my recollection of it.

We drove 25 miles. Filled up the car with gas. Thought we were gonna get sucked up by tornado's on Interestate 80, then arrived safely.

Oooh! Oooh! You forgot about the sale at JC Penny's! The multiple Barnes and Nobel visits! The gas station that only sold diesel...but had a gourmet selection of gum (Orbit's entire line of flavors, I'll bet!). The hunt for the perfect on-the-road bathroom! The First Federal Bank/Associated Bank paradox!

And, my God, man! THE CORN! You forgot to mention the CORN!

Although...your retelling held a certain, je ne sais quoi...a certain truncated charm.
