We returned from the gym this morning, and readied ourselves for the DMV. We arrived just 20 minutes after they opened and the waiting area was CROWDED. Miles asked quietly, "Do you think it will be less than an hour's wait?"
The attendant replied, "Oh, definitely! This is the busiest branch in the state! This is nothing! I give it 16 minutes!"
65 minutes later, we departed the building, and I was soothing a very cranky Miles.
The process was very streamlined once our number was finally called...though it's a little disconserting that they didn't even look at my marriage license before changing my name. Oh, and they also didn't ask me to verify that Miles was now living in the state, as their website indicated I would have to. I guess we don't strike people as the devious sort.
Fools.
